Decided to clean my WP yesterday (hadn't fiddled with anything in the tank for about 2hrs and was getting bored).
Wow, what a difference, there was a fair amount of gunk on the armature which was slowing it down.
I didn't realise how much power it originally had, it had just slowed down so gradually.
The tank is rocking again. :D
