its true my mate comes over with his DSLR to take pics then when it comes to getting them off him it takes that long that once i get them they're obsolete lol

My plan on providing this update is in a few stages
ill start by saying a really really huge thanks to @NiCd and @JoshM because you guys were absolutely great and i cannot thank you guys enough for the amount of work you guys put into my tank
it went from a simple rescape and dosing pump set up to "so we're draining this and doing a 100% WC" lol i under-estimated the amount of work involved in this but hopefully they were happy with their bits and borbs i gave them as a token of appreciation...i know ads cant complain :p

so this is my tank on friday before the big day, just to show you what the tank looked like and what not
as you can see my tank got pretty messy and the scape was a throw together after catching my yellow tang, cardinals and clown that time..(oh so long ago).
my chaeto i got as part of the Chaetomorpha Scheme seems to not be doing the greatest..some parts slowly turning brown and dying off, got the light on 24hrs not sure if i should be running reverse cycle or 24hrs
so the photos make it look 1000x worse but i guess it still shouldnt look that bad, i mean it was no oscars tank but still was too bad. added a couple pics of the 2 corals i got from asquith, the ric and the donut coral (i think its called that)
i was cleaning inside the neck of my skimmer and all the gunk fell into the cone or whatever its called and i realised oh noooo i need to clean it out so decided to clean it out nice and well

Was outside on the phone to Mr Marine (supplying the NSW for the overhaul) and down the street came camry filled with sutherland shire..

Whilst the tear down was going on it became a bit of tag once we realised the amount of work we had on
josh started scaping, then ads was like try this piece and then josh added another then....JENGAAA
lol meanwhile im scraping the glass and the weir whilst sponge bathing my tank pausing to laugh at the shenanigans going on.
i realised why ads told me to buy gloves...and it was in case his pimp stick couldnt do something or if his pimp stick got a dirty handle and didn't wanna dirty his hands...we later found out he was a hand model for Napolean Perdis
So scraping done and tank pulled down only water left was what was in the sump from the siphon after tuning pumps off..sandbed got a good stir and a nice siphon
and it was ready to start sorting out the goodies...to which i realised...how the f*** did all that fit inside that!

whilst i was gone the sorting of the goods was taking place
all the fish and inverts were in buckets and had a battery operated air pump that sounded like a cement truck, alternating every 5 min to support everything
ended up putting the golden angel in the coral tub to see if he was hungry, but to my luck he much preferred poking is mouth out of the water trying to get out and swimming into our hands, hes like a puppy dog...got annoying after the cuteness wore off but lol
and then we compiled a container of...you boys can choose who takes what :)

a goni, couple scollys, micromussas and acans and zoas etc....some stuff either looking a bit under the weather or that i wasnt particularly a fan of, great to see they went to awesome homes :) i know they werent expecting it but i really didn't know how else to repay them for the amount of work they did, i was just overwhelmed how helpful they were.
so 4 and a half hours later this is where we were at...
dripped the little guys back in slowly while waiting for the water to clear up some more, temp got down to like 18 degrees in the tank so needed to boil some NSW to bump it up...josh showed his kitchen skills

This morning i woke up to a nice clear tank and some really shy fish and inverts
i moved a few corals around to suit them and myself better :)
kinda cut that my anemone shrimp have ditched their minimaxi that they were obsessed with in their breeder box and now taken the toxic hammer as a home lol
note that the gonis are closed up here, silly me moved them around just before taking the pics so ill try get some more soon...well heres the tank all cleaned and revamped
