Maybe I should tag everyone in the thread so they get a notification even if @MTG deletes this too! :p .

So even though I'm sure you're all enjoying the "discussion" about windows vs linux I thought I might add a slightly more on topic post lol (another BitFenix Prodigy case)

Thanks mate :)

Contents of my lovely little beasty are:
Case: BitFenix Prodigy
Mobo: ASRock Z77E-ITX Mini ITX Motherboard
CPU: Intel i5 3570k with a Cosair A70 cooler @ 3.4GHz
RAM: 2*8Gb G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3
Graphics Card: Palit GeForce GTX680 Jetstream 2Gb
Hard Drives: OCZ 120Gb SSD (OS drive), OCZ Vertex 2 240Gb SSD (Game drive) and a 600Gb VelociRaptor HDD (Media drive)
Screen: ASUS VS248H 24in Widescreen LED Monitor
PSU: Silverstone Strider Plus 750W ST75F-P
Keyboard: Logitech G510
Mouse: Razer Deathadder Left Handed Edition
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

I mainly use her for gaming (bit of an addict) and starting to be for design now too as I learn more with CAD for uni (civil engineering)

I did see that there were others lol I guess I shouldn't encourage then?

Nice rig. What's in it :)

Hey.. we weren't that off topic. It's just that @MTG likes to start a new thread every couple of months to show off his computer that he doesn't know how to use :p
He will probably delete this thread when he starts the next one :gaypride:cum

Haha do I smell a Jelous Dave, I love toys!
Not really... I could buy such toys if I could be bothered wasting that much money on shit that I don't need :P (Actually setup half a dozen CAD machines that would give you a run for your money this week).
I'm using an overclocked E5300 and its only real issues are disk I/O, and that's rarely an issue. Why would I waste money on buying something faster that I don't yet need?

E5300 =/ you mustn't ever game that would bottle neck a gpu hard core
WTF would I want to game for? Unless it's Left for Dead. In which case that runs OK under Wine anyway. :D
If I did things that were GPU intensive, do you think for a second I'd be using the equipment I'm using? (was dealing with I/O issues when you were still in primary school lol).

My media server has a newer CPU in it (E7ican'tremebertherestthesestupidIntelcodesareshit). Just that the E5300 is on a better mobo and I was too damn lazy at the time to swap CPUs over. Besides, the E5300 is overclocked to 3.51Ghz with stock heatsink... the media server isn't and it's at 2.6Ghz lol. The board the E5300 is in uses DDR3 which is why I did the board swap... at some point I'll want more RAM, and be damned if I'm gonna waste money on DDR2 :p

The media server itself does a fair bit of intensive work... cpu runs at ~100% from midnight till 6am + for a few mins in 10 minute intervals 24x7. More than powerful enough for what I need...
