Yep other stuff has improved but my actual readings are the same! Not that the readings are bad though. My skimmer has been producing a lot more ever since I had the bio pellets. I have the outlet of the reactor plumbed in to the skimmer intake.

Hadn't planned to. From what I have read, the circulation plate and way it works is fine, and many have said it's been better than recirculating reactors that cost 5x as much.
I have been using the aquamaxx for about a year. It does a great job as is.

I can't remember the brand now but it was one of the main brands.

Can't be arsed to start a new thread. Attempting a mod to my reactor to stop the pellets getting stuck up under the top, and promote more movement in the tube.

I put some shells in the bottom of the reactor and some very small pieces of pumice I collected off the beach a couple of months ago. They've created a raft that allows water to flow but not allow the beads to get stuck to the upper surface. There is definitely more flow around the beads down the bottom and I'd be interested to use some larger or heavier shells in future.
