now all thats left to arrive is the eheim 3000+ which was due for arrival at AoA today so hopefully tomorrow :)

then plumb the biatch and set up this mofo

im thinking on the following lighting for my sump to support the macro but also to support coral frags i may grow out or something in my sump

ok so realised i need to make another order to wetearth this week cos i realised how am i suppose to join my return hose from the eheim to the hansen bulkhead return... rockerpeller im sure you can help me mate haha...


was thinking this to connect to the SFTFT15 so rather than coming straight out of tht tank i can have a nice downward angle... - its a 15mm Male Female Hansen Elbow

then to connect my hose to the elbow i was gonna buy one of these - 15mm nut and hose tail...only prob is the hose fitting on this is suited for a 13mm (or 1/2") standard hose, but im under the assumption the eheim compact 3000+ requires 20mm hose?

diagram of what im thinking to help you out...just confused....am i doing it the wrong way?

the other thing is i need to split the eheim compacr 3000+ return into 2, so i could use this as a away to switch from thick hose to thin hose?

Yea that works mate. You could just use the normal pvc thread elbow adapter. Use some 15mm pvc pipe until you get below the tank then convert it to the tube adaptor. Spray it black and no one would notice it.
But the above works too.

Also have you looked at SCWDs? Perfect way to add a bit of random, while splitting the return.

Lol I thought I was still taking the cheap way out but a lot of people have been saying that...now I have to be successfull with it or there will be disappointment all round lol


Anywho forgot to measure my weir last night that's one thing that needs to be done before any water goes in but then again seen so many people not cover their weir although I have said since day one I wouldn't cut corners n I'm learning this whole 'patience' thing when it comes to reefing
