1 liter media for 200 litres.
For my 300 liter tank I have ordered 10 litres Siporax.
You need the 15mm type according to the thread.

290 ~ 300 gram == 1 liter of Siporax.

1 liter of Siporax to treat 200 litres tank.
With this assumption, you're planning to overdose it, as if you're treating 2,000 litres tank?
According to the FAQ that I posted earlier, 1 liter of Siporax to treat 100 litres tank.
With this assumption, you're planning to overdose it, as if you're treating 1,000 litres tank?

Yes mate , the exciting part about this is the fact that everyone participating in this methodology has knowingly and willingly decided to overdose on these products. Read the link to the reef central thread that Dom posted early in this thread.
@Wrangy for instance runs very little liverock and no gravel.
The matrix / Siporax will benefit him by providing many times the surface area for his bacterial fauna to grow on.

I'm with you Nils :) I'm hoping we gain some following here too because it would be awesome to see the results on various non SPS tanks too!

As mentioned I run fairly low stocking with lowish nutrients so having the matrix will help out greatly! But if the upgrade goes ahead my stocking will be much heavier so having such a large amount of extra filtration potential would have a huge impact to help :)

I will be running well and truly overdosed, 6L in 200L or 10L in 280ish so pleennttyy of extra bacteria room!

3 to 4 litres media for 100 litres water seems to be the numbers popping up on the threads.

That does seem to be the rough out people are using :) whether it's siporax or matrix as well.

You can get siporax from Aquaristik in Germany and matrix from local stores and businesses :)

I'm waiting for a reply from the Australian sera distributer for a bulk quote.
They don't have ten liter bucket in stock , hope they can sort out a good price and send the stock to my LFS.

You could try aquatic supplies, I'm sure they'd be fine but double check the price compared to buying it from Germany too
Germany cheaper by $4 but looks like they come with filter net. Not sure if Aquatic Supplies does.

And I also need to check if they have the items here locally.

Great thread, seriously considering Matrix, have been looking for a new direction since my tank is recovering from a crash.

If this does gain some following I'm starting a user's thread because seeing it documented a little more would be fairly awesome! And a good indication of what it does and doesn't do :)

Are you still using Zeovit alongside this method?

Ok guys so far this is the cheapest I can find, however fingers crossed the wholesaler gets back to us with good news that his stock levels are sufficient for our demand. I'll let you know how many are left as soon as I hear back.
