oh i know that but the stores like williamstown and reef secrets get stuff in and you can see it and buy it on the spot, i suppose ordering stops the impulse buys just a little
Hey All
Just a quick update with a few more additional corals....which will pretty much be it for the time being, i will be removing the xenia and a couple other softies for a side project im going with.
Pretty cool ive heard of people getting their hands cleaned by their cleaner shrimps in the past but i guess mine were too shy up until last night when i was like wtfff whats happening to my hand (as i couldnt see in my tank) and then i look and it was seriously the coolest feeling, tickled a lot but i let him do what he had to do :)
Ive also posted a pic of my 2 new clam additions one really nice one and one tiny one i got real cheap from someone shutting down.
Ive lost one of my nice acans, which i think got stung by my bleeding apple bowerbanki.
Also there's a pic of the weird algae growing its like long slimy and brown...i got myself a hanna checker and will test my phosphate level properly and same to with the phosphates of my RO top up, the TDS is 0 but unsure of the phosphate as ive hard DI Resin doesnt strip all phosphates

thanks guys for all the positive comments...do have a bit of an issue at the moment though, i think a few WCs and then replacing my ROWAPhos media should fix it

i was thinking my phosphates may have been coming from the RO water i was using but now unsure what could be causing it, glad i now know exactly how much it is at rather than using the API test kit, and worked out an easy way to get those Reagents into the tube :)

Another bit of an update:
1. Deltec Skimmer sold - Long Live the King
2. Reef Octopus NW110 Skimmer Purchased - Skimming like a baws only needed a small mod by Mr. Marine Aquariums :) working well
3. Got Phosphates down to 0.09 - replaced RowaPhos media and RowaCarb Media
4. Got an order from oceanarium with some refugium building species like stars an snails etc
5. Added a Pocci from oceanarium
6. My anemone shrimp seem to be hosting my hammer then my xenia and then my hammer lol they cant decide
7. My porcelain crabs are hosting an acan and a donut coral
8. I bought a green monti cap
9. I now have 3 mini maxi's and one decided to go for a trip down the durso express and is hosting my skimmer lol
10. My tunze ATO power supply died
11. Got a new sexy shrimp free from a mate who was shutting down and forgot he had it :p
12. Gonis seem to be becoming a little happier, although lost 1.5 acans.

thanks guys...same my nems arent the homes to my shrimp and crabs although maybe when i get my RBTA (when i find one i like) and my picassos (not too adult) then i might see them al hosting as a family lol
although for the moment im still trying to figure out why i seem to battle with phosphates :/ it may well be my light cycle although i know a guy with this same light cycle with 3 mitras' and he has one insane SPS tank lol
