yeah im waiting on getting a smaller one and hoping to build a larger tank in 12-18 months. that was I can just transfer him into the larger tank.

I have researched into them and found a few people keeping them in 6ft's fine. 1 guy eventually had to take him out as it was getting a little larger.

Some people keeping them in 4ft's which is crazy imo.

Next project will be a 8x2.5x2.2 build so it should be suitable.

Also my Purple Tang is coming out today or tomorrow, keeps on hassling my Yellow tang plus want to have the room for the Achilles.

yellows are so much nicer :rolleyes

Achilles would be more suitable in something like a 8x4x2.5 or similar

my mrs wants me to go wider than 2.5 on my next tank but im concerned about light coverage. 4ft wide would be ideal but will take up too much room.

Also my Diamond Goby comitted suicide this morning, found him on the floor.

Very sad he was a hard worker :(

Anyone know of a good sand sifter that wont jump?

heres a few more pics. Radions have been running for 6 days now and the corals have adapted really well and slowly starting to show more colour.

Close up shots are under 20,000K (50% power), FTS under 10,000k.

Time for an update on the progress of the tank.

I had another suicide, this time it was nemo who was found wedged behind the tank on the floor. :(

I have since replaced the percula's with Gold Striped Maroons and introduced a Bubble tip anemone 2 days ago, and so far has not moved around (touch wood).

I have also added a Decora Goby, beautiful fish with much character. And if all goes well i will have my Achilies next week (Fingers crossed).

Couple of new corals also added courtesy of Oceanarium, i must add that his corals are of awesome quality, really look much nicer than the pics on his website.

The Radion's are going really well, i have fine tuned them to be more of a natural colour spectrum, dimming the Red & Green and backing off the White a little. Corals are liking it so far.

Here's some happy snaps

I'd be a bit wary buying any more corals from that place...... by the look of it they feed their corals cashews! That feeding regime is soooo yesterday!! lol

Your tank is doing very well vp! Are there any more fish list plans or coral additions you want to add? The sps corals will stand out really well when they grow out in a good year :)

Hey Jonny,

I would like to add a nice blue tipped Acropora echinata if i can find one anywhere. As for fish just the Achillies Tang for now and possibly a Flame Angel. Once the tank grows a little. Im just hoping the coral's do well and grow under the Led's, so far they are going well. If not im going Mh and adding a chiller.

I want pics of the carnage next time you put your hand in the tank!
haha, very true. I used to own a pair many years ago and they can become aggresive. These are babies still and dont bother me as yet. I might invest in some armour in the future ;)
